About

I love words and the rich and varied meanings we ascribe to them. This is why I was especially fascinated by the use of the word “good” in describing the character and qualities of Jesus. In Acts 10:38, it says that “he went about doing good.” Of all the ordinary, unimpressive words to use – good. Merely good. Only good. Always good.

I wanted fancy words and fanfare to describe the everyday activities of Jesus Christ, and yet his earthly routine was summarized with these simple words: “he went about doing good.” I began to explore the essence of what is “good,” and the core idea for this blog was born. What is the “good” life?

On these pages you’ll find my reflections, epiphanies, curiosities, and challenges as I wade into the deep end of the good life. Not a life without suffering. Not a life without hardship and uncertainty. Not a life without doubt or fear. But a life of meaning, of redemption, of growth, of connection, of grace and truth. Come with me on the journey of a really “good” life!
